Thank you for contacting Mona Vale SLSC. Venue hire is available Monday to Thursday and Saturdays and is subject to availability.

  • Funeral or wake enquiries: Please phone 02 9145 2987 and email vpfinance@monavaleslsc.org.au

  • Corporate enquiries: Please email venue.bookings@monavaleslsc.org.au and include your name and contact details, date of function, times of function, total number of guests attending, type of corporate function and, if you require the use of a kitchen.

  • Regular weekly bookings: Our calendar is closed and we cannot take any further bookings at this stage.

  • Private enquiries for weddings, birthdays, engagements, anniversaries, christenings, special occasions etc:
    • 2024 Saturday availability: 17th & 31st August, 19th October & 21st December.
    • Midweek availability: Wednesday and Thursdays from 1pm are available.
    • 2025 Saturday availability: There is a range of dates available.

    • For prices, please email venue.bookings@monavaleslsc.org.au with your name and contact details, the date of the function, approx number of guests attending, type of function and any other information you wish to provide.

Note:
  • Children’s parties are not suitable at our venue including 18th & 21st nor is our venue suitable for any parties for ages 25 years and under.

  • You cannot bring your own / do it yourself catering. Catering is to be supplied by a professional caterer and they are to provide insurance cover for their services.

  • No BYO soft drinks and/or alcohol.

  • If your function enquiry is in relation to a wedding and your ceremony is planned to be outdoors, our venue can be your backup ‘wet weather venue’ option and is part of the package.

  • Booking terms: At time of booking, a formalised function quote with our terms & conditions will be sent with information on how to pay the booking fee.
 
  • Payment terms: All fees in relation to your function will need to be paid in full 3-4 weeks prior to your event.

What in included in the venue hire fee?

The venue hire fee includes;

  • Exclusive use of function space for up to 5.5hrs
  • Private covered balconies (one in Cook Terrace Bar and one in Ocean Pool Room)
  • Use of sound system and 2 x cordless microphones
  • Access to cocktail furniture and seating for up to 70 seats (4x 3 seater lounges and 2 x wooden low coffee tables, 16 x backless bar stools, 3 x bar tables, 12 x bar stools w/ back, 12 x low armchairs with 2 x small round coffee table, 2 x medium round coffee tables)
  • Access to white top banquet tables 1.8m x 90cm diameter (10 available – can be used for gift table, grazing table etc)
  • Access to up to 100 wooden folding chairs
  • Floor to ceiling glass sliding doors that open the space up to the balcony
  • AV – screen and use of HDMI input for any presentations
  • Modern bathrooms (shared with patrons of the on-site restaurant, Basin Dining)
  • Lift access for guests
  • Heating and cooling
  • TV

When is the venue available for hire?

Special Event Hire 
Full Venue Hire: The 3 venue rooms being the Ocean Pool Room, the Bongin Bongin Room and Cook Terrace are booked as ‘full venue hire’ and are available, subject to availability mid week Monday to Thursday and Saturdays.

Partial Venue Hire: The 2 venue rooms being Cook Terrace and Bongin Bongin Room are booked as ‘partial venue hire’ and are available, subject to availability mid week Monday to Thursday and Saturdays.

Special Event Hire includes wedding ceremonies and/or wedding receptions, engagement parties, birthday celebrations (excluding 18ths, 21st & children’s parties), wakes as well as corporate events like conferences, board meetings, award nights and Christmas parties.

General Venue hire 
Due to the nature of your booking, the Ocean Pool Room, the Bongin Bongin Room and Cook Terrace Room can be booked as separate venue rooms and are available during Monday to Thursday and subject to availability.

Can I organise my own catering?
You are welcome to arrange your own catering.

Basin Dining, our on-site restaurant offers food menus and food service staff. Please contact events@basindining.com.au for the seasonal menus available.

Can I organise my own beverages?

Mona Vale SLSC is a licensed venue and as such the provision of all alcohol is to be provided through the Mona Vale SLSC.


BYO beverages of any kind is not permitted, this includes juice, soft drinks and tea/coffee. 

Is music / live music allowed?

Yes, music including live bands is permitted on review and approval. The balcony doors must be closed at 10pm to respect our close neighbours.

Can I decorate the venues?

As a brand new venue, all decorations are to be approved by the venue management to ensure the venue will not be damaged. Tape, pins, confetti, glitter, and rice are not permitted. All decorations are to be removed by the hirer after the function.

Is the venue accessible?

Yes. All event spaces are pram and wheelchair friendly.

Can I do a site inspection?

Yes, please contact venue.bookings@monavaleslsc.org.au to arrange a suitable time.
