A family-orientated club There are many generations of families active in the Club.Strong female contingent The Club has one of the highest ratios of female membership on the Northern Beaches.Mona Vale SLSC has one of the strongest Nippers on the Northern Beaches With a focus on fun in learning and surf awareness, and also offers extended training opportunities.Improve your swimming and surfing skills (which you may bring with you or learn from us) to undertake surf rescue patrols and assist in keeping the public safe at Mona Vale Beach. The large number of active patrolling members means that the number of patrols each member does per season is kept low. Opportunity to be trained in Surf Life Saving awards These include the Bronze Medallion, Advanced Resuscitation/Defibrillation, Spinal and First-Aid.An inter-active program for Juniors A specifically tailored program.Strong inter-Club competition for those interested, from our Nippers, all the way to our Masters (our oldest competitor is currently 58 years old!). We also offer training for competitors in boat rowing, beach events, surf swim, board racing, ski paddling and iron person competing in local carnivals all the way to the Australian National Championships.Strong intra-Club competition Our Senior’s Club “Sunday Events” (10am each Sunday during the season) would be tough to beat. Based on handicap starts, regular events include a 400m surf swim, flags, board and ski paddle relay, beach sprint, a shorter surf swim and even ‘water flags’ if the waves are suitable. The focus is on enjoyment. Our Annual Club Championships covering all age groups are professionally run and highly competitive.Recognition Your Surf Life Saving awards & achievements are commended at the annual club presentation night.Use of club gym equipment

Strong social scene including Friday night gatherings, footy tipping and the lucky member badge draw. We also have Trivia Nights, occasionally live bands, movie nights for Juniors and Cadets; a Christmas party, Beer Appreciation evenings and many more fun events for all members. A Club for twelve months of the year While many Surf Life Saving Clubs close over winter, Mona Vale SLSC continues to offer Sunday morning ocean swims, social activities including Friday Night gatherings and footy tipping, award training, fun and fitness.
