The welfare of all Mona Vale SLSC members and those within our community is of the utmost importance. While the club are dedicated to providing support where possible, there are many other resources available within the community. 

Community Support Resources

Beyondblue provides information and support to help everyone in Australia achieve their best possible mental health, whatever their age, gender or nationality. www.beyondblue.org.au

The Black Dog Institute is a translational research institute that aims to reduce the incidence of mental illness and the stigma around it, to actively reduce suicide rates and empower everyone to live the most mentally healthy lives possible. www.blackdoginstitute.org.au

Kids Helpline are committed to the care and protection of young people offering Australia’s only free, private and confidential 24/7 phone and online counselling service for young people aged 5 to 25. Lifeline is a national charity providing all Australians experiencing a personal crisis with access to 24 hour crisis support and suicide prevention services. www.lifeline.org.au

Movember address some of the biggest health issues faced by men including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention. www.au.movember.com

Play by the Rules provides information, resources, tools and free online training to increase the capacity and capability of administrators, coaches, officials, players, parents and spectators to assist them in preventing and dealing with discrimination, harassment, child safety, inclusion and integrity issues in sport. www.playbytherules.net.au

Surf Life Saving Australia is Australia’s peak coastal water safety, drowning prevention and rescue authority.
