Mona Vale is one of the busier beaches in the Pittwater Council area. Last year we have around 130,000 visitors. During the summer season we did 63 rescues and 200 First Aid cases. We have 1,300 members, including 200 active patrolling members and over 500 Nippers.
We offer quality training to assist new members to become lifesavers and to continue with further qualifications. Nothing prides us more than to see someone become a fully accredited lifesaver when they initially thought they couldn’t.
Mona Vale Surf Life Saving Club has something for everyone regardless of your age, gender or swimming strength. There is a role for everyone – we need all sorts of skills to run a Surf Life Saving Club, not just lifesavers!
Our Nippers program is credited with being fun, educational and teaches our under 6 to under 14 year olds confidence on the beach and in the surf. Many of the Nippers go on to become fully qualified Life Savers.
MVSLSC is also very competitive at Surf Life Saving Carnivals. The boat rowing teams have been very successful with the Mona Vale A crew recently entered into the Australian SLS hall of fame for its 3 successive gold medals.
Significant training programs under the guidance of qualified and experienced coaches are available to members who are interested in competition.
We also have great recreational and social activities and events please see our JOIN US section to find out more – we invite you to become a member!
